My boyfriend treated me to some Mac cosmetics the other day so I decided to pick some lipsticks I've had my eyes on.
This one's Viva Glam Gaga (pink) and there's been a lot of talk on how bright it is and whether it would suit certain skintones. It has a blueish tint and I was told it wouldn't look right on me in one Mac store but I ended up leaving due to poor service anyway. After trying it in another Mac store (with much better service!) it looked fine so it's now happily residing in my make up bag. :)
I'm Vietnamese/Chinese and therefore have olive skin but if you don't layer it on too much this shade isn't as extreme as people may think - since it has a lustre finish. Applying lip balm beforehand helps tone it down too. Just be sure to keep everything else simple! I wear mine with brown pencil eye liner (top), silver eye liner (bottom), subtle gold eye shadow and bronze/pink blush.
Also, the proceeds go to a good cause. Yaaaay~
